YOU ARE A MEMBER OF THE BAND BOOSTERS!!!

IT'S THAT SIMPLE!

"Through the expression of cooperation among staff, students, and parents, the Inver Grove Heights Band Boosters was organized to promote and foster a spirit of excellence and pride in the school's instrumental music program." (Excerpt from the Inver Grove Heights Band Booster By-laws). The Band Boosters support and chaperone numerous band activities, including; parades, pep band, the solo/ensemble contest and band trips. We also organize fund raisers and and typically host an annual fund raising dinner and typically host an annual fund raising dinner and silent auction.

The band boosters is comprised of the parents and guardians of our band members. Each year the boosters elect a Officers (President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer), discuss and approve a budget, and meet monthly to discuss and coordinate band related activities. Parent volunteers are a key component of a successful band program. There are numerous opportunities for involvement and we hope each family will volunteer at an event or activity during the year. It’s a good opportunity to meet other band parents and students, hear great music, support our kids and school and have some fun. It takes a lot of hard work by many individuals, to make this year's band program successful. We hope you are able to be part of that success here at Simley and IGHMS. The Band Directors rely on the Band Boosters to take responsibility for the "behind the scenes" work and to get things done.
